Here you get information on the most important dates for study information and admission examinations at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Call for Content: Create your own Study Information

As a student at the Academy, you can share study information from your perspective on Kiosk. There is currently a call for content in which we invite all students to submit contributions (videos, audios, blog posts with photos) for publication on Kiosk.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, 28.4.2025, 11:00 am

Admission Examination Bachelor Program Education in the Arts

The online registration for the study year 2025/26 for the Bachelor program Education in the Arts starts on 31 March 2025 until 25 April 2025.

Admission Examination Bachelor Program Architecture

The online registration for the study year 2025/26 for the Bachelor program Architecture starts on 5 Mai 2025 until 23 May 2025.

Portfolio Reviews: 

Starting in April, applicants have the opportunity to discuss their portfolio with a teacher and receive feedback on their works. Please register on time for the dates on Fridays from 1 pm.: arch@akbild.ac.at

Open Days "Akademie-Rundgang"

At the end of January, the annual open days event "Akademie-Rundgang" takes place at all locations of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Institutes and departments open their studio doors and studios, performances, discussions and educational programs are offered. Some departments also offer student advice during these days.

The next "Akademie-Rundgang" takes place in January 2026.

BeSt education fair in Vienna

The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna will be represented with a stand at the BeSt education fair at Messe Wien (underground U2 Messe-Prater) from Thursday, March 6 to Sunday, March 9, 2025. Students will provide information about applications and study opportunities at the Academy.

The fair is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm and on Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm. Admission is free!

Portfolio reviews

Portfolio reviews are offered by the Institute for Art and Architecture and the Institute for Education in the Arts before the entrance examinations.

Portfolio reviewws are not offered at the Institute of Fine Arts.
