The Institute for Artistic Teaching is located in Karl-Schweighofer-Gasse. The building was erected in the 19th century. Today it contains workshops, studios and offices of the academy. The secretariat of the Institute for Artistic Teaching is located on the fourth floor. The first floor also houses two of the academy's childcare facilities, the LULU kindergarten and the KAKADU children's group.

To open the door, press the door handle. The elevator is located at the end of the foyer.

Lifts: the building has an elevator connecting all levels (from courtyard level to top floor).
Restrooms: five barrier-free restrooms are located on four levels of the building (on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd floor and attic). The restrooms are accessible without a Eurokey.
Kindergarten groups: from September 2021, the LULU kindergarten and the KAKADU children's group will be located in replacement premises in the courtyard of Karl-Schweighofer-Gasse. The replacement premises can be reached barrier-free via the gate (Karl-Schweighofer-Gasse 5) and through the courtyard.
