An Exchange Semester at the Academy

How is it as an exchange student at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna?

Gabrielle's series of short-videos portrays the perspective of four students, Anthony, Jiseoa, Leonie and Yoav, on their experiences at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna as part of the Art School Alliance Program. 

Anthony

Anthony Sandoval Orea is a Mexican artist currently studying in New York Purchase, his main focus is figurative painting. 

Jiseon

Jiseon Choi is a graduate of London Goldsmiths University and comes from Korea. In order to find inspiration for her future creative work, she would like to focus on the topic of "chances-coincidence".

Leonie

Leonie Wahler is student at the HfbK Hamburg. Her focus is primarily on the intersection of art and activism, the connection between Hamburg and Vienna represents both a proximity and a distance.

Yoav

Yoav Ben Moshe is a student at Bezalel, Academy of Fine Arts in Israel since 2020. Society and geography as a constantly evolving element are a theme for him, which he would like to capture with various materials.

The Art School Alliance - ASA is a network of renowned art universities with the aim of intensifying the networking of artistic and academic expertise and the exchange of teaching and student mobility worldwide. It offers students the opportunity to complete a study exchange in an artistic major at one of the member universities.
